Where were you born?

New Plymouth

What is your role? Explain your day-to-day.

I work for Robert Angus Real Estate as a real estate salesperson.  Everyday is different in real estate, no day is the same.

How long have you worked here?

3 years.

When did you get into real estate and what do you enjoy most about it?

The enjoy the freedom of my time that the real estate industry allows.  Although it is common to work outside standard daytime hours, the industry allows the flexibility to schedule your day around yourself & your clients requirements.

What do you love about working in the West End Precinct?

I love the vibrancy surrounding West End Precinct with shops, food & beverage & offices.  In particular, the previous White Hart Hotel is just beautiful within its current surroundings – a credit to its owner with the restoration.

Best place to eat in New Plymouth?

Having recently purchased a lifestyle block with an old villa, I am too busy to go out & about for dinner due to renovations, life is 24/7.  So, for takeaway lunch my pick would be Takasago Sushi.

Best spot you have lived and why?

Kuala Lumpur, I consider my second home.  As a family we spent several years in Malaysia as expat with my husband’s career.  The people, food, culture & vibrancy all contributed my love of the country.  We made fantastic friends there which we still have today.  This is one bubble I loved living in & was devastated when it popped upon transferring to China.

Best travel spot?

Thailand offers two areas of best travel spot for me.  I adore Bangkok & it’s 24-hour excitement.  Bangkok is a crazy city that offers non-stop entertainment.  For relaxing, I enjoy Phuket.  As a family we have been to Phuket many times, the island it easy to negotiate with beautiful beaches.

Best achievement?

Family, I am surrounded by a wonderful family which I am grateful for.

If you were stranded on a deserted island what are three things you would take?

Sunblock!  I’m very fair.
Champagne.
A good book.

Favourite film?

Titanic

Favourite book?

I do not have a favourite book; I do enjoy reading about the Tudor era & King Henry.
