Brooklyn Lundy is the Guest Experience Coordinator at King and Queen Hotel Suites. We caught up to find a little bit more about her and her role.

Where were you born?

Auckland, New Zealand.

What is your role? Explain your day-to-day.

My role at King and Queen as Guest Experience Coordinator requires me to work in almost every area of the Hotel. I am in Housekeeping for half of the week making sure the rooms are perfect for all guests. I definitely get my weekly exercise done on these days! For the other half of the week I am on reception and spend my day welcoming guests, answering phone calls and making reservations. I also do our invoicing and manage our social media.

How long have you worked here?

Two and a half years.

What do you love about working at King and Queen Hotel Suites?

Definitely the friendly team (we are like family) and the beautiful environment.

How do you travel to work?

I drive myself.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I have my own little side business making dog products, I am in to photography, cani-cross and have recently started showing my dog.

Favourite place in the West End?

King and Queen Hotel suites or the courtyard overall.

Are you a dog or cat person?

100% a dog person!

Best travel spot?

In Taranaki I love the hiking up the Mountain, especially the Pouakai Tarns. New Zealand wide I love 4WDing the beaches by Pouto and thoroughly love Whitianga and the surrounding beaches.

If you were stranded on a deserted island what are three things you would take?

My husband, my dog, a tent.

Favourite film?

My favourite film would probably have to be one of the Fast and Furious movies.

Favourite book?

I don’t read much but it would probably have to be The Longest Ride.
