Guests of King & Queen Hotel will be familiar with big warm smile of Guest Experience Manager, Anau Ngametua.

Where were you born? 

I was born and raised in the Cook Islands and moved to New Plymouth a few years ago.

What is your role?  

First and foremost it’s all about looking after our guests, whether that’s communicating with our housekeeping and front office teams, reviewing feedback (and ensuring we follow up where needed). I also work hard to keep everyone on track so that we are meeting our objectives and strategic goals.

What do you love about working in the West End Precinct? 

Meeting new people from around the country, and making friends with our guests.

Favourite travel destination? 

Home which is the Cook Islands, and the UK.

Best achievement? 

Marrying my high school sweet heart. When we first met I could not speak a word of English, the rest is history!

What’s your favourite spot in the precinct? 

Definitely the Ms White Pizza which I get delivered, they just know when to bring me a pizza. It’s the perks of bring in the precinct.

When I’m not at work you will find me…

At Ms White’s bar or out on the golf course looking for my lost ball.
