Hannah Murray sits down with West End Precinct to talk about her wedding, and why she loves New Plymouth.
Where are you from?
I was born in a super small town in Canada- Gananoque.
Have you always wanted to work in hotel management? How did you get into this?
Have worked in the food and beverage industry for quite some time. When I moved to New Plymouth I started at Monicas and then the job for Front-Of-House came up at King and Queen which I have now been doing since 2018.
What does your job entail being Front-of-House Manager?
I am the first person you see when you check-in and out. Interact with guests, if something needs fixing I will put my hand to it or find someone that can, support Daniel and James.
What brought you to New Plymouth?
I met Chris my now husband who was travelling at the time. It was the total millennial love story of boy meets girl. We matched on Tinder, moved back to New Plymouth which is his home town and now just recently got married.
When and where did you get married?
We were really lucky and had a beautiful ceremony at Tupare Gardens then reception at Snug Lounge.
What do you love about New Plymouth?
Totally vibing the West End Precinct and the different selection of eateries here. Also my birthday that’s in January now falls in Summer.
What’s three things your friends would describe you as?
Funny, loyal and a total sweetheart
Can you share a tip or saying that has helped you in life?
Have a great attitude, enjoy what you do and don’t sweat the small stuff!

Favorite thing to spend money on?
Food and Lulu Lemon.. mainly lulu Lemon.
